    I’ve got Windows 7 x64 with NET 4.0 but after starting the installer there is no text in the application window. Have any one experienced any thing similar?

    I owned an Active Extabit Premium account. But it can’t be detected after installed the latest version and restart due to “Server updated. Please restart Mipony…”. Even I re-installed the older version v2.0.1 also the same problem.

    Kindly fix the issue ASAP! Thanks!

    I was having issues installing due to the Yontoo crap the installer mentions. I unchecked it, of course, and began installing Mipony, but after a second the installer failed and my AV complained that a Yontoo executable was hanging around the temp dir. It deleted the executable. About a minute later the executable had reappeared in the temp folder, and the AV program couldn’t delete it. I killed all handles to the file and deleted it myself. Started again and ended up having the same issue.

    My resolution? Open the installer executable with 7-zip and pull out the REAL installer (Mipony-Installer-1.exe) from $TEMP. Then it’s just like it used to be.

    if Babylon malware is in this release then i’ll never install it; because it is really hard to remove this sh*t. i did suffer from it and i’ll not give it even an atom a chance to get in my system ever again. wait for the reply from the author about this matter. really love this little downloader 🙁

    Looks like ImageTypers isn’t working right with 2.0.2. I’m getting that error I used to get in the old version before it was updated. Also, I know it’s your program, but this new install wrapper is pretty annoying. My antivirus program complained as soon as I ran it. Anyway, thanks for keeping the updates coming, and please alert ImageTypers if you can so they can update their plugin to work with 2.0.2.

    To remove the Babylon toolbar when using Firefox:

    1. Uncheck Babylon when installing.
    2. Open Firefox and go directly to Options for Firefox and remove Babylon as your homepage.
    3. Just as a precauction, check your Add-ons in Firefox to make sure nothing was added.
    4. If you screwed up and Babylon was added as your Search Engine, click on the Search Engine drop down menu, then click on Manage Search Engines to remove Babylon from the list.

    Almost forgot, to remove the Babylon toolbar when using Windows 7:

    5. Click on the Start icon in the lower left corner,
    then Control Panel,
    followed by Uninstall a program under Programs,
    where you will find 2 entries for Babylon; both need to be uninstalled.

    So sad to see that kind of thing. Mipony used to be a great tool and it´s really annoying to waste time removing the software we don´t want.

    omg.. ppl….. Mipony need ads(Babylon) to support. Whenever you start the installer, there is huge screen with 4 options for you to untick “not to install Babylon”. If you can’t freaking see that, you shouldn’t be using Mipony.

    Becareful of this version of MiPony Installation. Babylon installer install into your computer even if you UNCHECK the installation. Also. Uninstalling Babylon is not very simple, uninstalling it from your control panel does not completely remove it. Also it install another program called Browser Manager. You need to remove that also

    MKPONY NO.1 FANS, the problem is, at this time, there is no option to not install the toolbar. Even if we check that option ( to not install babylon), the setup stops and we are forced to continue with the babylon toolbar.
    The previous versions of Mipony were different.

    I don’t have this problem. I also checked if babylon is installed in my comp, but no, nothing is installed except mipony. Either the installer doesn’t work normal for some systems or you guys forgot to untick it.

    thank you sooooooo much for fixing the Rapidgator problem. Rapidgator is now working fine in Mipony. But…….now Extabit is not working 🙁 Please fix it so that both Rapidgator and Extabit premium accounts work in Mipony. For those that complain about Letitbit not working, they have their own system with their own software and I think they have a way of blocking it so that only their software can download from their links. I could be wrong, but if I’m not, I wouldn’t expect Letitbit to work any time soon in Mipony. Also I see a lot of negative comments. Are any of you paying for this software? No, you’re not. If you don’t like the Babylon, then just uncheck the boxes and skip it. This guy has to make some money someehow for all his work and I guess this is the way. It’s also really dispicable when people demand and swear that problems be fixed ASAP when you’re not even paying for the software, but you’re also not paying for support either!!! Have some respect and let this guy do his thing. He eventually gets around to making things work, so just have some patience.

    Yep, same thing happened to me: I unchecked Babylon in the installer, yet after installing the program, i ran spybot Search and Destroy and, sure enough, it found Babylon on my system. I still love Mipony though. Btw, that comment I posted a while back about Imagetypers turned out to not be a problem with the plugin. They suffered a DDoS attack last week that knocked the service offline for a day or two. Not sure why anyone would want to DDoS Imagetypers. yeah, they charge for Captcha solving, but for a blind person like me who can’t solve Captchas by looking at them, that’s a valuable service worth paying for.

    NOTE: It has no installer so you need to open it in WinRAR or 7z and extract the contents to your MiPony folder. Its works fine and no hidden/broken installer or toolbars.
    It may even be portable like this but I havent tried that 🙂

    I deleted it and everything is back to normal. Problem solved.

    I have an issue, a lot of downloads stop at 99% and i can’t resume again
    No timeout error, no forced closed connection,

    You can untick all the untickable about babylon in the installer, but the pest still tries to hijack the homepages of IE and Firefox. In order to get rid of the pest you can use Hijackthis to fix the IE hp hijacking. In Firefox I screwed the little bastard via about:config, where I found a string I had never touched (browser.newtab.url), infected by babylon. Right click on the string and choose Reset to fix it. No other traces of it in my system.
    Fix this nuisance in the next installer.

    I don’t know if I’m doing something wrong …but… I have 2 FileFactory premium accounts. I’ve tried putting both in the ‘premium’ section but neither are recognized…. It still shows ‘no’ in the “Add Link” section. Am I missing something???

    just download the 7z version posted above. No installer, unzip over your old MiPony install and you can avoid the babylon issues completely. It works perfectly without the malware/nuisances.

    MiPony does not recgonise my links from depostfile as premium even though I have a gold account with them. I have entered my login and password in the premium section of MiPony but I still have to downlod their links manually which is time consuming.

    Hope someone can help!

    The Imagetypers plugin is going to keep producing that error until their system is back online. I guess they’ve been under a DDoS attack for a while now. Hopefully Imagetypers will come back online because, without Imagetypers to solve captchas for me, I can’t download from any sites that require captchas since I can’t see.

    Imagetyperz doesnt seem to work at all in version 2.02 and doesnt work well in 2.00. It creates an error. Tried installing it several times. Beyond that the Babylon toolbar is bad enough to be called a virus. It installs without permission and is difficult to get rid of. Really pisses me off. I searched for a different download manager because of not wanting to get it on my computer but unfortunately found nothing quite as good as MiPony.

    And yea for those who still have problem with babylon. Try install a cracked version of malwarebytes(pro) with protection mode “on”. Its prevent the installer to install babylon.

    If you’re too stupid to stop Babylon from being installed, extract MiPony with Universal Extractor or install it in a Sandboxie sandbox and then copy the files to the regular location.

    I, like many others from reading above, also ended up with Babylon installed as a default search engine & default browser homepage on Firefox. And in fact Babylon tries to make itself look like Google’s homepage. After several attempts to eliminate Babylon via “Manage Search Engines” & two different uninstaller programs, it was still was still by default browser homepage. I changed the default settings under OPTIONS, Babylon was still there.

    Ran Ad-Aware, of course Babylon pops up as malware.
    Went to Babylon’s website and sure enough, there was a huge link to an extensive Uninstall Instructions page – complete with a video to watch, then three separate manual settings you have to go through and change. (http://www.babylon.com/uninstall_search/index)

    So WHY did this happen to a good number of us who actually AREN’T stupid as Mr X so politely said above???

    The difference between MiPony 2.00 or 2.01 and 2.02 is:

    – The has always been the three boxes you need to UNCHECK so that Babylon did NOT install. And those three boxes have always covered everything and there was no install of Babylon. But now, after you unclick the three boxes and hit continue, a NEW small window pops up with a long explanation of what Babylon is and does and how awesome it’d be if we still want it, etc. Now from there, the options are to click OK or CANCEL. To NOT install, you have to click CANCEL. This window was never on previous version of the install I dont believe.

    I guarantee everyone else, just like I did, breezed over it and quickly clicked OK since that would the “industry standard” way to move forward within an agreement and also because I have come to trust MiPony.

    Now, I KNOW Babylon is a revenue source for MiPony & since I don’t pay for MiPony, who am I to complain right. Right. However, I highly suggest to MiPony that they re-evaluate what/who they sell those options too.

    I’m not mad that MiPony threw that new OK/CANCEL trick option at me. I’m not mad the Babylon got installed because of it. But I’m PISSED that it installed as the default search engine, default homepage, locked it into the New Tab feature and then continued being shady by making that default homepage look like Google’s. Then I gotta go hunt down the answers on how to fix this (cause I’m not stupid lol) from a forum like this, read about how stupid I am, etc.

    After wasting 30 min of my time today on this, lemme just say MiPony is a great program that I hold to a higher standard than to allow their users to be at risk to a shady MALWARE program dressing itself up as a “search engine”.

    Even if you uncheck Babylon, it will install it and a hidden malware “Browser Manager” that is really hard to remove.

    What the hockey puck is going on???? This last ‘update’ is the pits!!! None of my premium accounts are recognized…and the ‘free’ accounts all come up as ‘download errors’!! Yes, I know Mipony is free…and I might even consider paying for is because up until now it was the best downloader on the net…..but….yikes…this is extremely annoying. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled..no change. Are ‘we’ planning to ‘fix’ this mess????

    Don’t know what happened with my 2.0.2 Portable edition running on Win 7_32, but the overall download speed is ridiculously slow.
    Though the most known servers, Uploaded, DpositFiles, RapidGator, RapidShare
    Turboit, … seem failing (let the rest alone), I must get in the captcha codes many times for the very same file…. which takes days !???
    Could it be a setup/config options values issue?

    YOu are the ONLY one RESPONSIBLE for YOU installing ANY Malware or crapware…NOT THE AUTHOR OF THE SOFTWARE! And to say you clicked OK because that was the industry standard…WTF are you on about? You just made up a concept and called it ‘industry Standard’??!!!! There are LOADS of different installers out there and there are MANY that have different dialogue boxes that open up, some trying to get you to click the wrong button. This one, I found, explains VERY clearly that, if you click OK you are installing the toolbar.

    The only stardard I know about is that all installers have a lot of info that, if you care about your PC and what YOU install on it, you must read first before clicking. THAT is your only ‘Industry standard’ hehe.
    If you really are too simple or lazy to READ before you CLICK then sadly, you are a lost cause. It is YOU that is in need of the lecture, it is YOU that is in need of education.
    There are many much worse toolbars and search addons that ARE MALWARE. Babylon is relativelt simple to remopve so you obviousl;y have poor Pc skills to start with. Begs the question really: What makes you think YOU are qualified to talk to a software author when you cannot even install a program properly to your own requirements?
    I, like many many others, have managed to install every update, WITHOUT forgetting to uncheck the box to install babylon toolbar.
    You on the other hand haven’t.
    I’d say that’s it mate, case closed.
    You are dumb and you want to blame someone else for YOUR mistake.
    Sorry the world doesn’t work that way.
    You ought to be thanking the guy for making it free and NOT complaining about how he tried to monetize it!
    I love the software and I would gladly pay for it 🙂

    NicoM and others are WRONG!
    This software DOES NOT install the babylon stuff if you choose not to during the install. These people who are claiming they chose NO and then their PC was filled with Babylon toolbar, search engine.. are not selecting to not install it at the beginning…you need to read before you click!
    I taught my kid that when he was 8. . .

    Why does Mipony always open a massive amount of Internet Explorer windows when it starts? It just keeps spamming IE tabs and windows. This happened on WinXP and now Win7 64 with version 2.0. and 2.0.2. I don’t know why you don’t let us disable the built-in browser. Nobody uses it. I’m sticking with Jdownloader. It’s obvious this annoyance will never be fixed.

    That’s happen when you press “X” to close mipony blog page right after Mipony start. You just need to ignore the blog page and click on your download tab or click on something else.

    I am downloading a big file. I am about half done, but the file from the original download address link is no longer accessible [I believe the download link is only alive for X hours after the download starts on that site]. However the file is available from that site, but at another download link address. How do I continue downloading that file from the alternative download address? Thanks.

    I should clarify my main problem from my previous post, regarding original download no longer available. Once that original address to the file is no longer available, that address becomes a webpage saying the link is invalid. So if I have downloaded 900 MB so far, once this happens the 900 MB is wiped out, and the download say it’s finished and become 10 KB (the size of the webpage saying the link is invalid). I need to preserve that 900 MB, so I can continue downloading that file from the alternative download address. For example, is there a way to say don’t download if file is less than X byte or the file size changed to be smaller, etc. Thank you.

    Have Mipony 2.02 and just got depositfiles GOLD, but mipony does NOT recognise as premium…? Have restarted, checked for updates, all up to date. IS DEPOSITFILES known not to work?

    Mediafire has stopped working with Mipony. Links that can be downloaded without problem via web are coming up broken/invalid in Mipony. I have already sent 2 reports via the “support” tab in Mipony about this … issue has been going on for about the last 2 weeks or so.

    MIPONY NO.1 FANS, thank you for explaining that. This happened for years and finally I know the reason. I thought it was some kind of malware but I never see anyone else complain about it so I wondered why it was only happening to me. It was making me crazy. But if it’s not malware then it’s definitely a bug or bad programming since the developers don’t want to fix it. It should not spam IE windows just for clicking X.

    Maybe I will give Mipony another chance. Thanks again.
